Andra University arranges a state-level entrance exam known as Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET). It is held in Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. This test is done for the recruitment of assistant professors at universities or institutions in Andhra Pradesh. This exam is conducted once a year.
The APSET question paper consists of two papers, paper1 and paper2. These subjects include Anthropology, History, Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science & Application, Economics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Law, Life Sciences, Mathematical Science, Physical education, etc. For MH SET, the candidates must pick up one subject of specialization. So, this is a good opportunity for the candidates to score. There are 31 subjects included in APSET.
Eligibility For APSET Exam
Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test has certain criteria requirements for the candidates in order to pursue an undergraduate program from this university. Here is the list of requirements for the SET exam.
- The candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 55% in Master’s Degree from any reputed institution or university authorized by UGC can appear for this test. In the Backward Classes (BC) /Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Transgender/persons with disability (PwD) category, the required percentage is at least 50% Master Degree from a reputed institution or university authorized by UGC.
- Candidates who are a Master’s Degree or the students waiting to qualify for their Master’s degree are eligible to give the exam. But, they have to give their passing certificate at the time of filling up the form. If they fail to achieve the minimum percentage, then they will be eliminated.
- Candidates from the transgender category will not have to give any fees. There is no age limit or qualification criteria for them also.
- Candidates of all age groups can be able to give the exam.
- The students who have completed their post-graduate diploma/certificate at any reputed university or Foreign Board must have a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- The candidates who are able to qualify for the exam can only apply for the post of assistant professor in the colleges or universities of Andra Pradesh.
- If any candidate has qualified for the exam earlier, they cannot give the exam for the same subject.

- Click on “Registration”
- Then click on “Apply Now”
- Then fill up your details and click on “Continue”
- After registration is done a mail will be sent to your registered mail id.
- Login to the website using your email id and password
- Then give your remaining details
- Choose your preferred center for the test
- Then click on submit
- Then you have to give your scanned picture and signature
- Then click on “Make Payment”
- Now pay the application fee
- A transaction id will generate after the payment
